Growing Body Consciousness

Picture
We are ever changing, cultivating our relationships to our own mind, body and spirit. Drawing down our awareness to this essential truth enhances our optimal health and our relations with others.
Studying and working with healing often feels like walking a labyrinth. I circle back to the same subjects in new situations with new perspectives. As a care provider I offer my best work when I am mindful of my own feelings, physical and emotional. Breath work is the most common denominator for self care, whether I am nurse, preschool teacher, bodyworker or doula.
How are you practicing self care? What are your challenges? Where do you deny your physical and emotional pain to survive? Are you celebrating the beauty and love that surrounds you? Life transitions can be a tremendous wake up call to how we are choosing to inhabit our skins. Birthing and dying present eclectic questions. Remember to cultivate your soul during daily activities. Breathe deeply. If we plant a seed and wait, attend to weeding out what doesn’t fit for us, add water when the rain is scarce, then opportunities for when and how to harvest will come.
Consider giving yourself the gift of healing session this summer. Deep rest really is a profound component of growth. Enjoy the buzz of Nature’s activity and remember quiet reflection as well!
