My love for midwifery and homebirth started while living at home as a teenager. I had the incredible opportunity to be a labor assistant, not only to my mother as she birthed my little brothers at home, but other friends and families. I eventually gave birth at home to my seven precious children. I began apprenticing and became a student of the Iowa School of Classical Midwifery the fall of 1998-spring 2002. I completed Molly Caliger CPM, DHom, intensive internship, The Russian Birth Project (in St Petersburg), in the summer of 2000. I also did apprentice work w/ Molly throughout.
